Education
Most of the children who live in the Dream Train Youth Development Charity Center are attending the Government of Basic Education Primary School, Middle school, High school and Private Schools in Yangon and learning the Primary, Secondary and Higher education. 46 children have passed the university entrance exam.
Handicrafts, such as Table Cloth, Handkerchief, Hand Chain, Key Chain, Purses and Pillowcases are taught to children during the summer holidays by a teacher at the Dreaming Train. Children are also interested and they learn with joy and care and the visitors are encouraged to buy the handicrafts made by the children.
Library
The library at the Dream Train Youth Development Charity Center was established in January 2017 with a donation from the Bill Cook Foundation and Hirokei.
There are non-fiction books, fiction books, magazines, cartoons and religious literature.
There are about 2000 books.
In every Sunday the children go to the library for reading books and rent it.
Activities
There are Swimming Class, Yoga Class, Hip Hop Dance Class, Piano Class, Reading Class, Crocheting Class, Rugby Class, Football Class, Learning Science from Japanese Teacher by Online, Flute Class and Language Classes are making in Dream Train.
Summary
Dream Train Child Development Centre was Established on 29th September, 2011 by the help of “Japan Heart” and it is located on No.270/271, Aung Dagun St., Ward 48, North Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar.
Our expectation is to help and reach out to children who are facing problems with food, clothing, shelter, education, health care and other social problems with a spirit of humanity and compassion without discrimination of any race, religion, blood and skin colour in accordance with the well-known sayings “ HELP THE WEAK”.
All the children joining the centre are expected to overcome all the problems of daily necessity of food, clothing, shelter, health and social problems to become independent in life after getting basic education, a suitable vocational training and higher education.
There were 28 children at the time of the establishment of the Dream Train Center. At this time, there are (142) students and every year, students who outstanding in academics and sports are emerging.
