Activities in Myanmar
Wachet Hospital and Japan Heart
Wachet Charity Hospital is as an Origin of Japan Heart as
medical activities of Japan Heart were established in this
hospital since May 2004. It is located in Wachet Village
on Sagaing-Mingun Road, Sagaing Division which is in upper
central Myanmar. Although the hospital's capacity is a
25-bedded hospital, it can accommodate up to 200 patients
in its busy days. It was initially built for Sangha (Monk)
community, however, later changed to a charity hospital
for the public. Japan Heart is an international medical
volunteer team which is collaborating with this hospital.
Dream Train
Dream Train Child Development Centre was Established on
29th September, 2011 by the help of “Japan Heart” and it
is located on No.270/271, Aung Dagun St., Ward 48, North
Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar. Our expectation is to
help and reach out to children who are facing problems
with food, clothing, shelter, education, health care and
other social problems with a spirit of humanity and
compassion without discrimination of any race, religion,
blood and skin colour in accordance with the well-known
sayings “ HELP THE WEAK”. All the children joining the
centre are expected to overcome all the problems of daily
necessity of food, clothing, shelter, health and social
problems to become independent in life after getting basic
education, a suitable vocational training and higher
education. There were 28 children at the time of the
establishment of the Dream Train Center. At this time,
there are (142) students and every year, students who
outstanding in academics and sports are emerging. We would
like to express our special thanks to the donors from
local and foreign who give from all sides every months and
every years.
Japan Heart Disability Development Project of Medical
Massage Training for the Blind towards Independent Lives
and Inclusion in Society
JH aims to work toward providing social assistance to
needy groups of disabled persons in Myanmar, JH seeks to
build secure and safe circumstances for disable persons
and local community, aims to develop sustainable
environment where they are living. For the purpose of the
Activities, both authority and JH desire work together in
the area of persons with disabilities development based on
the communities assistance. Furthermore, Medical Massage
Teacher Training 2-years course was initiated with ODA
fund support through Japanese Embassy of Myanmar for 3
terms, (2010 – 2013) and JH continued to organized Medical
Massage Therapist 1-year course until today.
